Having travelled to Euro 2020 with the England national team, Sancho has been granted extra holiday along with the other Man Utd players who played in the tournament.

It is understood that the winger has been given three weeks’ holiday from the time of England’s last game in the tournament.

This last game, of course, was the Euro 2020 final itself on Sunday 11 July which England lost on penalties to Italy after a 1-1 draw at Wembley.

Sancho was brought on just before the penalty shootout and unfortunately missed England’s penultimate spot-kick, with Gigi Donnarumma guessing the right way to save.

So Sancho is expected to start training at Carrington on the week commencing Monday 2 August.

By that time, Man Utd will have already played four of their five pre-season friendlies.

They have already defeated Derby 2-1 and are due to play QPR, Brentford and Preston before the end of July.

That leaves Man United’s final friendly on Saturday 7 August at Old Trafford against Everton as Sancho’s possible debut.

His competitive debut could then arrive a week later as Man Utd kick off their new Premier League season against Leeds United at Old Trafford on Saturday 14 August.
