Kylian Mbappe meeting to decide future on Thursday July 20, 2021 by Jürgen Götze Real Madrid’s long-standing pursuit of Kylian Mbappe could be about to reach a conclusion. Mbappe is expected to report for a meeting with current club Paris Saint-Germain this week, a summit which is expected to decide whether the player will remain in the French capital. Mbappe’s contract expires next summer and Madrid have been tracking the player’s movement for some time with a few to making a substantial bid. PSG, on the other hand, have regularly committed via sporting director Leonardo that they feel Mbappe will stay, and are planning to call on him for next season. But Mbappe has made no secret of the fact that he sees himself playing for Real Madrid at some point in his career, and is hopeful that a suitable bid will arrive which will force PSG into action. Thursday’s meeting could see the first steps for Mbappe leaving – or staying – in Paris.
